Then Reagan developed the modern day Republican creed of "cut taxes no matter what just cut taxes" whilst cutting regulations as much as Congress would let him

My guy Bill Clinton actually balanced the budget but that required the budget balancing act of 1993 with zero help from the Congressional Republicans who jammed that vote up the Democrat's backside leading to the great Gingrich Contract with America sweep in 1994

Then W. Bush took things to a new level, cut taxes (almost exclusively for the wealthy), go to war in Iraq (for no good reason), go to war in Afghanistan (for good reason), raise spending on Homeland Security (some good, some overkill).
