Our Troops in Iraq Are Not on a Mission from God Or at Least Lets Hope Not

We all deal with religion in different ways, many of them extremely constructive. We all address politics in different ways. What I refuse to accept is a national party nominee who clearly chooses to mash up her politics with her religion in such a way that any theocrat throughout history would be comfortable. Obviously if you are a rabid social conservative that is not really convinced that Jeffersonian separation of church and state as enshrined in our constitution is a fundamentally wise basis for governance then yes one would be thrilled with Sarah Pallin.

If you are not then one really should take a step back and ask not only what is going on with John McCain’s approach to this election but what is going on with the Republican party that embraces such a candidate with such unmitigated fervor.
