Are We Really Ready To Cut Spending?

TW: This is an ad for Democratic senatorial candidate Scott Kleeb in Nebraska (notice he does not mention his party as he is running in NE after all, Chuck Hagel's seat). He advocates reduced federal spending, a wonderful idea in my opinion (once we are sure we are not in a depression). The problem is what to cut? Understanding 85%+ of the spending is either social security, medicare/medicaid, defense/homeland security/veteran benefits, or interest. Getting rid of pork/earmarks and even cutting an entire department like NASA or EPA does not do much. So what would you cut from the big dogs?
