TW: I have always thought the loss of RFK was a bigger inflection point for American history than his brother's. At some point RFK would have become President. The Democratic party shattered after his death. While the forces pulling it apart were strong, he was the only one who could have bridged the gaps. The Democrats went a long time between JFK/LBJ and Clinton the only dynamic leaders of the past 50 years in the party. Clinton ended up being a deeply flawed individual, who arguably did more damage to the party than good. It is time the next great Democrat assumes the mantle of progressiveness.
