TW: I picked this off Tom Barnett's site. Apparently while we struggle to have ANY manned space launch capability our military is holding symposiums on how to rocket troops to anywhere across the globe in the space of two hours. I realize they need to evaluate many contingencies, but this reeks of foolishness. Imagine the billions it would take to rocket troops around the globe and how many do they think they could eventually move? 13, one squad presumeably armed with ultra-light weapons with minimal ammo and perishables.
