TW: Once speaking with someone the other day about how this transition seemed different. Then it occured to me that it has been a long time since we actually had a "normal" transition. Bush 2000 was the last transition between Presidents from different parties but that one was truncated by the Florida mess so u really have to go back to 1992 with Bubba Clinton, but as u can see above his transition reflected the ad hoc way he approached life in general. So arguably you would almost need to go back to 1980 for the last transition like this one where you will have a complete exchange of power done in the classic manner. Overlay the current war and financial crises on top of it and you have the makings of an intriguing process.

The Transition
