Are you tired of the Chicago winter yet? Need a little Spring?? Drop by the Peggy Notebaert Nature Center in Lincoln Park and take a walk through the butterfly haven.
The Nature Center is one of only about 20 facilities in the country that is allowed to import exotic species. And import they do. The Center brings in 700 - 800 butterflies (in the chrysalis form) every week.
So drop by the Nature Center and enjoy some Springtime. While you're there, you can also check out the Amazing Amphibian exhibit set in a tropical rain forest (starts February 7th and runs through April 12th) or do some shopping at the City's Indoor Green Market which will be held at the Nature Center on February 7th and 21st.
