TW: I ran across an interesting website for those interested in looking back on history and in this case the relatively elementary look and feel of early websites. The site allows one to punch in a web address of interest (i.e. CNN.com, MSNBC.com etc.), it then lists numerous actual screenshots from those sites by date. You can search for the tragic, 9/11 (which still sends chills), the historic like the 2000 hung election or merely off-beat like some of the late 1990's screens from CNN etc. which show how basic this whole web thing started. In many cases the screenshot links remain live so that you can drill into the stories a bit.
The site is: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
Below are a couple of screens I pulled up:
9/17/2001 New York Times

This is a shot from Peegs.com which follows IU basketball, it just happened to list the Midwest's Top 100 prospects from that year, 1999. Note #66 (in the Midwest not even the nation), which shows you how worthless those type rankings can be.
