The point is that while there are valid reasons one might support Mr. Obama over Mrs. Clinton, the desire to avoid unpleasantness isn’t one of them..."

TW: Krugman likes to pat himself on the back, he does so here by pulling out one of his own quotes from 18 months ago. He was a vocal and prominent Clinton fan, but in this case he was right. The above describes to a tee the current environment.
