Things I Like - Books

I’ve mentioned the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy here before, it’s one of my all time favorite book series. I was truly saddened when Douglas Adams died of a heart attack in 2001, it meant the end a very funny voice not to mention the end of any hope for a 6th book in the trilogy.

But as the guide tells us: DON’T PANIC. Eoin Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series, has picked up the pen and brought us further adventures of Arthur Dent.

And Another Thing is scheduled for release on October 12th, the 30th anniversary of the first book.

From Amazon:
Review
And Another Thing is Eoin's first book for adults, and he found the experience very similar to that of writing for young adults, apart from less usage of the phrases it wasn't my fault and none of you people get me.

Interview
Amazon.com: Again, you were aware that there are easier lots in life than potentially being hounded from safe house to safe house by unruly Hitchhiker fans incensed that you've taken up this particular gauntlet?

Colfer: The only reason I could think of for not writing this book was that there were possibly people who would not want me to do it, so I argued with them in my head for a few days and eventually they came around to my way of thinking.
Colfer clearly has the right tone for the book – I look forward to joining Arthur on his next adventure.
