A friend commented the other day that it might be fun to start a book forum on the blog – a place to post reading suggestions. I’m still looking into that idea but while doing some research, I ran across Shelfari.
It’s an on-line, free book-club that allows you to create a virtual shelf that you can then share with others. You can include books you’ve already read (with comments or reviews) as well as those you are interested in reading.
I know that other book sites have a similar approach but I liked the visual aspect of Shelfari – imagine having enough shelf space to hold all your books.
Neil Gaiman doesn’t have to imagine anything. His personal library looks like a used bookstore – the kind where you can sit in a comfy chair with a cup of tea and read all afternoon without being bothered.
See the Shelfari blog for more photos by Kyle Cassidy.
I seriously don’t know how Mr. Gaiman ever leaves his house.

FINALLY I'M IN!!! Thanks for the info, I now know what I'm doing!
When I see this man's library I have to laugh at my two bookshelves in the office and one hidden in the closet as the sum of "my library!"
If I had space like that, I wouldn't have had to donate so many books to various organizations, not to mention having to pack Allistair MacLean in a box and relegate him to the basement to make room on my shelves for current favorite authors - only the VERY favorite get space - and I'm soon running out!
Going to use "Anonymous" so I'll let you know this is Mom! Love you!
