TW: I know I stole part of the line from Franken but Limbaugh continues to earn his sobriquet. As you know Colin Powell, noted shallow panderer for his race, endorsed Barack Obama today. Being African-American he clearly could have had no basis other than Obama is also African-American. Obviously his unequivocal, eloquent, reasoned, long-pondered endorsement was mere window dressing for his true reasoning.
From Mr. Limbaugh via Politico:
"Secretary Powell says his endorsement is not about race...OK, fine. I am now researching his past endorsements to see if I can find all the inexperienced, very liberal, white candidates he has endorsed. I'll let you know what I come up with.'
As for Powell's statement of concern this morning about the sort of Supreme Court justices a President McCain might appoint, Limbaugh wrote: 'I was also unaware of his dislike for John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Anthony Kennedy and Antonin Scalia. I guess he also regrets Reagan and Bush making him a four-star [general] and secretary of state and appointing his son to head the FCC. Yes, let's hear it for transformational figures.' "
TW: Mr. Limbaugh is scourge on American society, to the extent he has influence in America we are failing as a nation to find legitimate leaders to confront our challenges.

Pat Buchanan made a very similar comment regarding Powell and the race endorsement this afternoon on a special edition of "Hardball with Chris Matthews".
I am sure they are not alone, but that only indicts an entire wing of the Republican Party instead of merely Mr. Limbaugh.
